Welcome to the Will House. We hope this will mark a new beginning on your road to recovery and new way of life. It is our goal to accommodate you the best we can with a level of structure and an atmosphere of recovery that promotes growth and integration into the real world. Our Members will be involved in 12 step recovery programs to aid them on their way. We will hold regular house meetings to introduce our Members to the process of recovery, in an effort to maximize growth potential and establish a routine for a new way of living upon discharge. We will meet with the members on a 1 on 1 basis to identify areas of accomplishments and areas of improvement alike.
It is our goal that every Member has an equal opportunity to grow, and to face the challenges of life while living clean and sober. Here at the Will House we believe it is possible to reform and reintegrate the individual when given the chance. Our Staff are Certified Recovery Coaches, as well as recovering addicts and alcoholics who offer a simple solution. As fellow recovering addicts and alcoholics, we have a unique perspective of understanding of the challenges of living clean and sober, and it is our goal to give back with a message of experience, strength and hope.
The Will House is a sober living home that provides a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for individuals suffering from alcohol and/or drug addiction.
Its recovery modality is based on the 12-Steps as they are laid out in the book Alcoholics Anonymous, also known as the “Big Book”.
All members are expected to participate in the recovery process. This includes, but not limited to, attending AA meetings on a regular basis, obtaining a sponsor who is versed in the “Big Book” literature and the 12-Step process, and attending all house meetings. Recovery is The Will House’s highest priority and we support our members throughout their journey.
To safeguard the health and safety of all occupants, it is essential that all personal living spaces and common areas are kept clean and orderly. Also, there is a 30-day probationary period for all new admissions. Restrictions such as evening curfew, no overnights, and daily sign-in/out sheets are put in place. This ensures that all new persons have time and structure to become acclimated to the process and their surroundings.
Alcohol and drug addiction is a serious disease and we at the Will House are equally serious in planting the seed of recovery and offering the tools to those that are willing, to live more happy, healthy, and productive lives.
THE WILL HOUSE SUPPORTS THE HONESTY FIRST APPROACH TO SOBER LIVING. PLEASE ASK YOURSELF THIS;
"Do I have the willingness to be honest with myself and others in order to make changes that can save my life?"
One-hundred percent complete honesty is crucial to the recovery process. Honesty with your support system: your partner, doctor, therapist, the people in your 12-step group, and your sponsor. If you can't be completely honest with them, you won't do well in recovery. When you're completely honest you don't give your addiction room to hide. When you lie you leave the door open to relapse.
